Dog Tags

I’ve spoken of my ex-roommate in previous posts, but this may be my favorite story. Over the summer, she worked at a camp. While there, she got poison ivy on her butt. It got so bad that she was stuck in bed for a week. I decided to get her some dog tags that read, ” VanderQ A.K.A Scratch ‘N Sniff.” I thought it was hilarious. The dog tag was pink with a music note on it. They had a variety of colors and designs to choose from. They had everything from volleyball and baseball to lacrosse and cheerleading. I’m assuming parents give the gift to their children saying things like, “Timmy District Championship 2007″ However, I thought my idea was pretty clever. She got a kick out of it too. I ordered it online and it was delivered quickly.

Progesterone

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

I’ve just stumbled across something very interesting.  There is this topical creme called Renaissance progesterone creme.  It is supposed to help with symptoms of PMS, Menopause, Estrogen Dominance, Fibromyalgia, and Osteoporosis.  It has the highest amount of progesterone available without a prescription.  What woman doesn’t want something that can reduce cramps? This creme helps with so many of women’s life cycle changes.

Baby Shower?

I have a lot of friends that got married right after high school or while still in college. Recently, I decided to get a baby sling for any unexpected invitation to a baby shower. My ex-roommate and I had to test it out of course. It was actually pretty comfortable. There were no buckles or thin straps that pinched. You can buy whatever size you need, and if fits great. Since I don’t actually have a baby, I took a picture of Sarah holding a stuffed animal. She has named it Petunia. baby slings work out wonderfully. I think the person I finally give it to will love it. You can hold your child and not have to worry about your arms getting tired. Plus, with your arms free, you can do other things. So, mommy can find time to eat too. I think this sling will make someone’s life a little easier.

School Books

Friday, August 17th, 2007

It’s almost that time again for classes to start.  I’m nervous to find out what books I need. I’m taking a lot of math and science this coming semester and they always have the most expensive books.  The book store on campus is insane and always so crowded.  Buying books online is so much cheaper and easier in the long run.  I can’t return them at the end of the year like some do to the book store for cash, but they don’t pay even half of what you do in the first place.  So, I’m still saving money.

Healthy Start

Friday, August 17th, 2007

I’ve now seen two doctors about this and they I have Fibromyalgia.  If you don’t what that is, basically, it’s chronic pain and fatigue.   I hurt and feel tired every day.  It stinks, but I make it through pretty well most of the time.  One of the things my doctors recommended were nurtitional supplements to make sure I get all the things I need in my diet.  I can’t be cured, but I’m going to do everything in my power to help where I can.

How Can I Help You?

Friday, August 17th, 2007

Okay, I’m starting to get sick of working at the library.  There are a lot of grumpy people in the world.  Maybe I look impatient or our desk is uninviting, but people come up ready to argue.  I think we should look into other reception desks that provoke nice, welcoming thoughts.  I can help people with their book finding needs and they will stop asking silly questions. : P

Summer Cruise

Friday, August 17th, 2007

It didn’t happen this summer, but I will go on a cruise someday.  Perhaps, when I get married, I’ll look into cruises for a honeymoon.  Can you imagine how relaxing it must be?  It would be to have room service, a sun deck, and stops at beaches and shops.  A lady at the library went on vacation with her husband on a cruise and said it was the best vacation she’s been on.  I’ll tell you, a lot of the people I work with take nice vacations.  I’m jealous.

Fox Theatre

Friday, August 17th, 2007

I still think that the Fox Theatre is my favorite theatre.  The first time there, I saw Cats.  Just this summer, my sister got tickets from my aunt to see the Lion King there.  It was Amazing!! The design for theater seating is impressive.  There really isn’t a bad seat in the whole place.  However, sitting on the ground level for the Lion King was really neat, because the “animals” came down the isles.  I recommend seeing at least one thing there, if not more.

Financial Consolidation

Friday, August 17th, 2007

I don’t much about finances of a business, but it seems like it would be a lot to handle.  It’s important to get help from professionals to keep things running smoothly.  Prophix is what I would choose.  They can help with financial consolidation software to build a sound business.  They also provide flexible real-time consolidation analysis, secure consolidation, and financial reporting.
