Real Estate

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

I wish I had money to invest.  I would definitely look into real estate.  Seriously, it’s hard to go wrong there.  Real estate value almost always goes up.  And, if you could find something like Branson real estate, could you imagine?  Places like that are always expanding and growing.  Besides there are so many things to do that I can’t imagine anyone would get bored there.  I went to Branson with my dad and sister when I was younger and it was beautiful.  I didn’t want to leave.

Pimp My Ride

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

I’ve decided that it would be cool to get some led tail lights.  First of all, I love seeing cars that have them.  They just make your car stand out whenever you use your brake lights, turn signals, or whatever.  I like the idea of people being able to see my car.  It lessens the chance for others to hit it.  Plus, it looks good.  Finally, I always loose my car in parking lots. If I had something that was different from other cars, I think I could find it quicker.

Sleep Like a Baby

Monday, February 25th, 2008

I just got back from a dance workshop.  It was amazing, but I am so exhausted.  Dancing all weekend really takes a toll on my body.  At least, tonight I will be able to sleep in my own bed instead of a hotel bed.  My foam mattress is so much more comfortable than a hard mattress.  It relieves a lot of the pressure on my joints.  Tonight, I think I’m going to sleep like a rock.

Knowledge is Power

Monday, February 25th, 2008

This semester, I’ve stepped a little outside of my comfort zone.  I’m taking an MIS course and it’s actually very fascinating. I’m not sure what I’m going to do after I graduate, but this class will help with almost anything I go into.  I’m learning so much about businesses and databases.  One thing I’m learning to work with is organizing information for companies.  However, the only way to get any results is to have information to organize.  More companies need to get help in the market research department.  If you don’t know what people want, how can you give it to them?

Spring Break

Monday, February 25th, 2008

I would really love to go somewhere for Spring Break.  This is my junior year in college and I don’t feel like I’ve ever had a a “real” spring break.  I’ve found out that Vegas hotels really aren’t that expensive.  If you look into the ones off of the main strip, the prices drop dramatically.  Also, just going in an off season makes way to a lot of great deals.  There is also so much to see and do in Las Vegas that you’ll never get board.

For Sale

Monday, February 25th, 2008

My dance instructor just got engaged recently.  She and her fiance bought some land in hopes of building a house there.  However, they found an already built house that they love.  At first, they were upset about already having purchased some land.  However, they realized that land investments are always a good thing.  They’ll probably end up selling it for more than they bought.

For Sale, For Sale

The people that own Florida land probably have a lot of money now.  My grandparents used to live in Florida and said they can’t believe how much it’s changed.  Their area they lived in started out as rural.  Now it has a four lane highway running through it.  The property value has to have tripled.  To find Florida land for sale would be worth the investment.  Who knows how much it will be worth in a few more years.  Plus, it’s Florida! Who doesn’t like living in warm, sunny areas next to a beach?

Get Fit, Stay Fit

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

It’s nice that our campus has a fitness center.  The only problem is that I can’t motivate myself to go out in the cold.  That’s why I think people need their own treadmills.  Then if you own one, there will be no excuses for not working out.  Plus, you can crank up your music and rock out.  There wouldn’t be any need to feel self conscious either.  I hate working out with people that are already fit.  If I was at home, it wouldn’t matter.

No More Squinting

I think my boyfriend needs hearing aids and  magnifiers.  Either that or he has no memory and doesn’t listen.  But, honestly, why do they make maps so small.  All the streets and names run together.  My boyfriend and I have been apartment shopping and struggling to find the places we like.  We look at the map and both think the same road is called something different.  If I had a magnifier, I could prove how right I’ve been this whole time.  : P

Relax and Take a Load Off

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

This weather makes my joints ache like no other.  I keep looking at hot tubs online and can’t wait until I graduate.  I’m definitely going to invest in a hot tub.  When I’m tired or sore, I’ll be able to come home and just relax.  The warm water soothing all the aches and pains of the day.  Mmm, sounds good right now.  A bath that gets cold in ten minutes just doesn’t cut it anymore.
