So, long story short, my fiance and I broke off our engagement some time ago.  I think I’m finally coming to terms with it.  I just started dating this guy that I’ve been friends with for a long time.  Ofcourse, we are taking things slow.  I mean, I just got out of a Serious relationship.  Things are great except his birthday is in eleven days!! I’m not sure what to get him. We haven’t been dating very long, but I have known him forever.  What’s appropriate? Right now, I’m thinking silk ties seem practical. Any thoughts?

I work at a Curves here in town, and I see a lot of women come in and out.  Most of them have been members for quite some time but only see a few pounds come off.  I think that you can only do so much exercise and dieting on your own. If you’re not seeing a difference, then maybe you need more help.  Some of the best diet pills have worked for people that have tried to lose weight for years.  It’s worth looking into at least.

This is ridiculous. We finally got the go ahead with the school to go to India. Then the first day of break there is a hostage situation with Americans and Britains in India!?! Now I don’t know if they will cancel the trip or not again.  Hopefully, I will find out more tomorrow.  In my opinion, after this is all over, it will be the safest place around for a while.  Since it’s not an internal conflict, there’s no need to worry about Indians fighting Indians. And, the borders are going to be closely monitored with security at it’s highest levels.  Whatever…I’ll find out soon enough.

I will say one thing that is exciting about graduating is that I won’t have to live in a dorm anymore.  And, on top of that, I’ll get my dog back.  He obviously couldn’t stay here with me at school. But, once I get my own place, he’ll be mine again!! I’m going to have to start about pet supplies again. Yikes!  I remember that the cost can add up pretty quick. However, I’ve got it down to an art.  You can get all the things you need online for much less than if you went into a store.  I highly recommend it!

Oh my. I have less than three weeks of college left.  This is insane!! It’s also very scary. The count down and job search are getting close.  I don’t want to be one of the people that gets a bachelor’s degree and then waits tables for a year looking for a real job.  I know this isn’t the best job market right now, but I’ve worked so hard. I have an awesome record and I’m finished early. Doesn’t that count for something?  I think a big key to finding a good job is knowing where to look.

I’ve decided that if the India trip doesn’t work out, I still want to do something.  I mean, I think I deserve it after all these years of working my butt off in school. Right now, I’m looking at some Outer Banks rentals.  I’ve got a lot of family out there that I could visit and it would be nice just to get away for a while.  While I would like to go out of the country, if it’s not for school, I don’t think I can afford it.

I’m just realizing how little jewelry I wear. The necklace my dad got me for Christmas a few years back is the only piece I wear consistently. I’m thinking I need some more.  I’m going to be graduating soon and going out into the work force. I want some classic pieces of jewelry for work and some pieces for myself to go out in!  It’s about time I got on that, don’t you think!

The UGG phase is still going on at my school. And, I can say that I don’t own any, but they are becoming more and more appealing.  They look soo warm.  I’ve noticed that as it’s getting colder, the more I need something to keep my feet warm.  The new UGG Mayfaire is attractive AND sensible.  Now that is what I’m talking about! I also like that you can tuck skinny leg jeans in them. Then you don’t have that horrible breeze shooting up your leg.  Perfect!

I am so nervous. I find out Monday whether or not the trip to India has been cancelled or not.  The last I checked, there were only three people signed up for it.  If there aren’t enough students going, the school will cancel it all together.  Today was the last day people could make their deposit to go.  I really really hope enough people signed up. I’ve been trying to go every summer, but it’s never happened.  I just didn’t have the money to pay for a month in India and losing a month of work because of it.  When this winter immersion came up, it sounded perfect. It’s half the time (which equals half the cost) and I’ll have graduated already. So, instead of paying a million dollars for tuition, I get to pay a flat fee to the school.  I hope this works out!!

I can’t believe I graduate in less than half of a semester!! I’m freaking out, because I have no idea what I’m going to do with the rest of my life! I’ve been thinking about it a lot recently and my thoughts might be changing. I was at Curves, where I work, the other day and someone told me that the other Curves in the next town was up for sale.  It dawned on me that I really like working at Curves and if I had the money, I’d more than willingly take it over. If another franchise opportunity like that came up…I might just take it.  There are definitely a lot of different things out there worth looking into.
