Insurance

Friday, March 28th, 2008

I’m in an intro to insurance course this semester, and I just had a presentation.  I found out some interesting facts.  Did you know that 47 million Americans have no form of health insurance?  I think that’s terrible.  People need term life insurance.  Sure you can pay out of pocket for a regular check up, but anything else is just too expensive now.  Get it now so that you don’t regret it later.  My mom waited until her job’s insurance kicked in a while back.  She had to go to the hospital one day for an in-and-out procedure.  It cost $2000!  She didn’t have that much money to begin with.  She had to learn her lesson the hard way.

Sketchy Neighborhood

I’m told I should look into home insurance quotes.  Well, I guess in my case renter’s insurance.  I do not live in the best neighborhood and it would definitely suck if something was stolen.  My roommate is also not the sharpest tool in the shed.  It wouldn’t surprise me if she blew up the house or something.  I worked really hard for all my stuff and want it to be protected.
